Obituary of Eva Catherine Cooper

Funeral service for Eva Catherine Cooper, 93 of Talladega will be Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the chapel of Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Her great-grandson Rev. Taylor Gurley will officiate and burial will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Cooper passed away December 18, 2014 at Talladega Health Care and Rehab. She was a long time resident of Talladega, retired with Bemis Bag Co, member of Immanuel Baptist Church, loved flowers, sewing and crocheting. She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Cooper, daughter, Shirley Cooper Carr, parents, Alex Hosey and Para Lee Stanley Hosey, brothers, Dewy Hosey and Roy Hosey, daughter-in-law, Carolyn P. Cooper. Her survivors include children, Johnny J. Cooper (Mary), Jerry Gene Cooper, Sandra C. Jones, grandchildren, Rebecca Beard (Jerry), Jay Cooper, Johnny J. Cooper, Jr., (Amy), 5 great-grandchildren, sister, Joyce Webb, several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jerry Beard, Adam Beard, Kenny Ward, Donald Evans, Jay Cooper, and George Jackson. Honorary pallbearer Johnny J. Cooper, Jr.
