Obituary of Jeffrey Ray Mayo

Jeffrey Ray Mayo, 56 of Talladega, Alabama passed away on Friday September 29th, 2023. Funeral services will be held at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel in Talladega on Tuesday October 3rd at 11:00 AM with Dr. Chet Roden officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Memory Gardens Cemetery in Talladega. Visitation will be held at Usrey on Monday 2nd from 5PM-8PM. Jeff was born in Talladega, Alabama to Elaine Williams and Ray Mayo on November 25th, 1966. He attended Talladega High school. He was an employee at Bridgewater Interiors for 18 years. Jeff was like no other. He was fun loving and full of life. He loved hunting, traveling, Alabama football, driving his car, listening to 80s rock, and scratching tickets, but most off all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was the best husband, son, brother, uncle, daddy, and papa. We will miss him so so much, but we will carry him and his light heartedness, kindness, carefree nature in our hearts forever. There will never be another like Jeff Mayo and we will make sure no one ever forgets. We love you with our whole entire hearts and we can’t wait to see you again one day. Jeff is survived by his wife Colleen Mayo, his children Lindsey Mckibbon (Brandon), Ashleigh Blackburn (Jason), and Tyler Mayo (Katelyn). His grandchildren Shepherd Mckibbon, Hattie Blackburn, Adalynn Mayo, and a grandson on the way. His mom Elaine Williams. His siblings Rodney Mayo and Tracy Sanders, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Clyde Ray Mayo. Usery Funeral home in Talladega will direct the services.
