Obituary of Timothy John Kendrick

Please share a memory of Timothy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Timothy John Kendrick, of Beulaville, NC (formerly of Coal City, AL), was born July 16, 1970, to Johnny (Randy) and Diana Kendrick. As a boy, Tim loved his family, his God, and his church. At 12 years of age he accepted Christ as his Savior. He loved the country life of guns, four wheelers, and squirrel hunting. In 1991, Tim entered the United States Marine Corps. In 1992, Timothy married his sweetheart, Dawn (Futral) Kendrick. Together they raised two beautiful daughters. Due to a severe injury in 1993, Timothy received an honorable discharge from the Marine Corps, which was a devastating blow. In 2000, Tim reentered the Marine Corps and began once again to fulfill his dream of being a United States Marine. Tim served three tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan and was awarded many medals and ribbons for his service. Since then, he was serving his church, loving his family, and doting on his grandchildren. Tim went to be with the Lord peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, September 20, 2023. Tim is survived by his wife, Dawn Futral Kendrick, and his two precious daughters, Chelsea Kendrick and Courtney Rangel (Daniel). Also left behind are seven grandchildren, Ethan, Ella, Emily, Loralei, Krisleigh, Adaline, and Raelyn; his parents, Johnny and Diana Kendrick; three siblings, Julia Klaus (Keith), Lisa Kendrick, and Christi White (Michael); and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. Timothy is preceded in death by his grandparents, Thurman and Geraldine Layton Kendrick and Katherine Louise Reed; and his sister, Becky Sue Kendrick. The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Alabama National Cemetery. Condolences may be offered online at www.usreyfuneralhome.com. Usrey Funeral Home of Pell City is assisting the family.
