Billy was a man of God and always shared the love of Christ with others. I’ve known him for almost 60 years and I’ve never been disappointed in him. He was my Pastor when I was a teenager. I loved Shirley, his wife and Lynn, Johnny & Scott, plus those grandkids. They became my family.

The first time I met Billy was in the Sauna at the gym with his good friend Bud Swindell . I was having a really bad day that morning and those 2 had the discernment to tail with only a towel on lol. I will admit it was weird having to half naked men laying on hands on me but I felt God strongly and it change my life . There is many times Billy shared guidance and knowledge with me that I wil never forget . I hope to one day have the boldness and discernment to do the same for a young man one day... Love you Billy

Billy Hunt was a great man, a man who did so much for so many it would be impossible to attempt to list them. I had the pleasure of getting to know Billy at the gym in his later years. However, we had many conversations about salvation, forgiveness and Heaven. If I was asked to give a definition of a good man, my response would be Brother Billy Hunt..

Mr. Hunt was my fourth grade teacher in 71/72 school year in Centre, Alabama. He was a great teacher and is fondly remembered by the graduating Class of 1980. Condolences to the family from all of us.

I am so sorry for your loss Iynn,Scott.
Brother Billy baptized me a long time ago. He was great preacher .
I still remember when he was Pastor at Pepperell Baptist.
When complaints about women wearing makeup he said
“A little paint never hurt any old barn. I still laugh about it. So many wonderful memories, he helped me through a very rough time.

When Brother Billy was our Pastor at Pepperell Baptist Church, he would always pick on me. I remember once that I was going to be checked for a brain tumor & Brother Billy told me that the doctor would have to find my brain first.
Brother Billy baptized me.
He will be missed by many that knew him.
