Obituary of Donna Carol Fulmer

Please share a memory of Donna to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
In Loving Memory of Donna Carol Stine Fulmer: A life of Love, Beauty, and Selflessness, Donna Carol (Stine) Fulmer, a beloved wife, devoted mother, and adored grandmother (fondly known as Grandma), left us on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the age of 77, after a battle with complications from Alzheimer’s disease. Born on May 24, 1946, in Anniston, AL, Donna was the beloved daughter of George Washington and Vivian (Graham) Stine. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Michael D. Fulmer, her sons Jonathon (Kim) Bowling, Tommy (Lorie) Bowling, and stepdaughters Stacy (Rory) Bonds, Margie (Gary) Snelling, and Jamie Hunter. Her grandchildren Maggie Bowling (Tyler) Ivey, Josh Bowling, Ryan Bowling, Landon (Baylen) Smith, Will Jones, Ty Bowling, Kip Bowling, Casey Dunaway, Morgan (David) Adams, Jordan (David) Odell, and Raylan Snelling. Great grandchildren Addy Grayce Adams, Enzleigh Faith Adams, Samuel Riggs Adams, Hadleigh Tate Odell, Ty Hunter, Scout Hunter, Drew Bonds, Boone Jones, Declan Jones, Camille Smith, and baby Ivey on the way. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her only sister Jana Stine Calloway, and her stepdaughter Andrea (Tim) Morrison, and Andrea’s children Colton Fulmer and Timothy Morrison. For many years she was a member of First Baptist Church in Pell City. Growing up she was considered a tomboy having interests in almost everything done outdoors, loved exploring Cheaha mountain, played some church softball, golf in the Villages, was an excellent marksman, and was pretty quick on the drag strip too. But most of all her top priority was being a mother by putting her time and energy into raising and loving on her sons. As a mother she worked hard and sacrificed to provide for them and their household, and when she was not at work she could be found at church or supporting her son’s schoolwork and sporting events. She has always been the peacekeeper often tolerating other’s shortcomings without the need to make her opinions known. She lived her life in support of God’s commands to be full of grace, hope, love, and forgiveness for everyone she met. She was a trusting soul in an untrustworthy world. At the first of her work career, she worked for the Employment Office in Anniston then moved on to the Anniston Army Depot as the secretary to the Ammunition Director. She and her husband had the opportunity to move to England where they lived and worked for almost a year teaching before moving back home until she eventually retired from her work with the government. The arrangements to celebrate her life will take place on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Usrey Funeral Home - Pell City, with visitation from 1 pm to 2 pm, service at 2 pm followed by the procession to the grave site at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Condolences may be offered online at www.usreyfuneralhome.com. Usrey Funeral Home of Pell City is assisting the family.
