Obituary of Theresa "Terri" Gayle Wilcox

Theresa “Terri” Gayle Wilcox, age 56, of Talladega, AL was born March 17, 1967 in Los Angeles, California. Her family soon moved to Alabama. She went to be with her Lord and Savior suddenly on August 17, 2023. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Justin Milliken officiating. Interment will follow directly after the service at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 19, 2023. Terri was a faithful and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She graduated from Shelby County High School in 1985. She graduated from Nunley Technical School in 1987. She married the love of her life, Christopher Dwight Wilcox on July 29, 1995. She spent her time as a loving mother and caregiver to all those around her. She was very active in her church from singing in the choir to teaching Sunday school, Awana, and a variety of other ministries. Her hobbies included reading, playing with her grandkids, watching college football, and the Atlanta Braves. Terri was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Edna Ledford, and brothers, Alan Keith Ledford and Russell Ledford. Terri is survived by her husband of 28 years, Chris Wilcox, Talladega, AL; daughter, Jessica (Joseph) Strickland, Talladega, AL; son, Tommy (Emily) Wilcox, Thomasville, AL; two grandchildren, Sammy Tate Strickland and Tobie Lynn Strickland; sister, Connie (Gary) Pfaff, New River, AZ; brother, Mark Ledford,Guntersville, AL; twin sister, Keysa Ledford, Columbiana, AL, and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Toby Wilson, Chad Ledford, Stephen Trotman, Kevin Trotman, Matt Richards, Joshua Milliken will serve as pallbearers. Online condolences may be offered at www.usreyfuneralhome.com.
