Bobby Maxwell Dulaney, 86, of Eastaboga, AL passed away on Tuesday, August 08, 2023. His family will honor his life by hosting an intimate family and friends gathering at his favorite “sitting spot” on the family farm where he will remain. The Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Mr. Dulaney was born on March 16, 1937 to Clarence and Minnie Susan Dulaney. He was a native and lifelong resident of Eastaboga, AL. He retired from Vulcan Materials Co. after 35 years of service. He spent his retirement fishing and “patrolling” the farm and Airport Road. He was fondly called the “Sheriff of Eastaboga” by his loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence B. and Minnie Susan Dulaney; brothers, Clarence Dulaney Jr. and Frank Ray Dulaney; daughter, Donna Marie Jenkins, and son, David Lamar Dulaney.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary Helen Dulaney; daughter, Renee Cochran (Tom); grandchildren, Kenneth Dulaney, Trey Cochran (Marki), Abby Tolene, Kegan Cochran, Dawson Dulaney, and Jeremiah Dulaney, and great-grandchildren, Cash Cochran, Cori J. Cochran, and Avery Grace Tolene.
“All he wanted while he was hospitalized was to come home. Well, Dad, you are coming home to rest in peace. Every time we pass your spot, we will say hello.”
