Obituary of Gerald Ladon Crews

Funeral service for Gerald Crews, 73 of Alpine, will be Saturday December 13, 2014 at 11:00 am at Oak Grove UMC. Rev. Keith Thomas and Joel Maxwell will officiate and burial will be in Laniers Cemetery. His family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 PM at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega.
Mr. Crews passed away at his home December 10, 2014.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Grassmere, AL. He retired out of Operating Engineers Local 312, Birmingham, AL. He was a lifelong member of Oak Grove UMC. His two passions in life was Alabama football and Short Track Racing.
He is preceded in death by his wife Martha L. Crews and infant sons, Terry and Jerry Crews.
Gerald is survived by his son Mark Crews and wife Paula, daughter Cheryl Crews and brother Larry Crews.
Pallbearers will be Elbert Davidson, Floyd Maharry, Earl Barker, Earl Crim. Lloyd Stephens and Tony Watson. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Johnson Marcus Martin and Billy Atkinson.
