Obituary of Jimmie Nell "Lillian" Callahan

Mrs. Jimmie Nell “Lillian” Callahan, 97, of Pell City, Alabama, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023. Lillian was a faithful member of Guiding Light Freewill Baptist Church. She was an immaculate homemaker and a wonderful cook. She was devoted to her family and cherished her roles as the wife of a deacon, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Callahan, and by her granddaughter, Penny Beason. She is survived by her son, Mike Callahan; grandson, Paul Callahan (Sonal Nalkur); great-grandchildren, Chandler Beason, Evan Beason, Noah Callahan, Leah Callahan, and Millon Nalkur; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City from 1:30 pm until 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. The funeral service will be at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, with Bro. Vint Arnold officiating. A private burial at St. Clair Memorial Gardens will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Guiding Light Freewill Baptist Church, 4190 Old Coal City Road, Pell City, Alabama 35125.
