Mr. Joe W. Hawkins, 78, of Moody, Alabama, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023.
Mr. Hawkins was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Johnson; parents, Robert and Mattie Hawkins; and sisters, Ceila Burtman and Kay Pesnell.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Layton Hawkins; daughters, Heather Watt and Conda Crowe (Mike); five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers, Bobby Hawkins and Jim Hawkins (Joyce).
The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Thursday, July 20, 2023.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City with Bro. J.R. Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. A reception will be held immediately after the funeral service at Highland View Baptist Church.
Serving as pallbearers are Joey Stone, Jason Hawkins, Eddean Duke, Shane Ramsey, Jeremy Snyder, and Joey Snyder.
