Obituary of Tommy Applegate, Jr.

Harry Thomas "Tommy" Applegate, Jr. of Pell City, Alabama passed away peacefully on June 20, 2023. Tommy was born on December 30, 1946, to Harry and Anna Applegate in Louisville, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Anna Applegate, Sister Dixie Adams Lambert and Great Grandson Adam Hurst. Tommy loved his church and church family at Harkey's Chapel in Pell City. Tommy loved his family, friends, and his cars. He could always be found building a custom car, attending a car show, or on the hunt for his next car project at a swap meet. Tommy was known locally and nationally for his amazing work on his custom cars. Tommy is survived by his wife Toni Applegate, Daughters Tammi Cribbs, Tonya Tomlin (Brent), Grandchildren Meghan Smith (Adam), Cody Kimberly (Holly), Walker Tomlin, and Ryan Tomlin. Great Grandchildren Max Smith and Jackson Smith, and close friends Charlie Wolfe, Mike Fisher, and Keith Kimberly. A memorial service for Tommy will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Usrey Funeral Home - Pell City.
