Mrs. Myrtle Lou Mashburn, 90, of Ashville, Alabama, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2023.
Mrs. Mashburn attended Ashville High School. She loved the great outdoors and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Mashburn; parents, Frank and Ethel Gortney; grandson, Daniel Mashburn; and brothers, Albert Gortney, Willie Gortney, and Henry Gortney.
She is survived by her sons, Wayne Mashburn (Natalie), JC Mashburn (Sharon), John Mashburn, and Andrew Mashburn; daughter, Judy Jacobs (Mike); eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Irene Toole and Gladys Morton; brothers, Norman Gortney and Bobby Gortney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City. Interment will follow at Bethany Baptist Cemetery in Ashville, Alabama.
