Obituary of Billy Truman Allen

Billy Truman Allen, 77, of Talladega, AL passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. A funeral ceremony will be held in his honor at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, June 19, 2023 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Clyde Pettus officiating. Interment will follow directly after the service at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. His family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega on Sunday, June 18, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Mr. Allen was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County.He was an active member of Pleasant Grove Baptist church where he enjoyed fellowship with his brothers and sisters in Christ. He also enjoyed University of Alabama football in the fall. He was a loving husband, father, and Paw-Paw. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Rilla Allen; sisters, Peggy Hill, Shirley Hill, Genelle Smith, Bonnie Allen, and Barbara Allen, and brothers, Carlton Allen and Roland Allen. Mr. Allen is survived by his wife of 57 years, Linda Allen; daughter, Pam (David) Adams; son, Billy (Brandi) Allen; grandchildren, Colby Allen, Austin Berry, Christian Corbitt, Anna-Grace Allen, Brian Ogle, and Dakota Ogle, and great-grandchildren, Avery Kate Berry and Gabriel Corbitt. Austin Berry, Colby Allen, Christian Corbitt, Brian Ogle, and Dakota Ogle will serve as pallbearers. Ernest Clay will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
