Ronald "Bubba" Eugene Allen, 69, of Cropwell, Alabama passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother, Tommie Nell Bradshaw; stepdad, Billy Jack Bradshaw; adopted daughter, Renee' Allen; stepdaughter, Shaylyn Gardiner; and grandson, Carter Dawson. He is survived by his father, Edwin V. Allen; wife, Jacquelyn Allen; son, Ronald Eric Allen; grandchildren, Gracelyn Dawson and Peyton Dawson; brothers, Ray Allen (Kim), Eddie Allen, and Lynn Allen (Melanie); nephews, Matthew Allen and Zachary Allen; and nieces, Kayla McFarland (Mason) and Lynsey Allen (Jon Banks). Ron was a mentor to guys that came thru the tree service and he "unofficially adopted" several young people over the years that he loved as his own children: Casey Markos (deceased), JD Pettis (deceased), Adam Howell (Ashley), and one of our daughter's best friends, Alisha Klempay (Brad). Ron was a former member of the Birmingham Jaycees. Ron was a tree climber by trade as well as an amateur mechanic. He was very talented and had many interests and hobbies such as fishing, camping, beekeeping, snake handling, and horticulture with bonsai being his favorite, winemaking, and wildlife rescue. He was a dog lover and he was a people person. Ron had a huge heart and a witty personality and to know him was to love him! He has left a huge void in our lives. The Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at The Brook Besor in Cropwell, Alabama on June 10, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be offered online at www.usreyfuneralhome.com.
