Myra and Family,
My mother asked that I belatedly convey our deepest sympathy, prayers, and gratitude for the many years of friendship that she and Dad shared with you and A.L. Know also of our regret in having learned only recently that he had passed away. Our hope is that throughout these months of grief, you are being continually sustained by fond memories and the satisfaction of knowing that his was indeed a life well lived. Not long ago I ran across a very enjoyable biography of A.L. and Joe's infamous football coach at East Mississippi, an era which of course gave them a lifetime of memorable stories, as did their overlapping time at "Old Howard College." Be assured of our continued best wishes in the days ahead.
