Ernest Lee Bittle, 93, of Munford, AL passed away on Tuesday, May 09, 2023. A funeral ceremony will be held in his honor at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Munford Church of Christ with Jimmy Clark, Shane Clark, and Jerry Elder officiating. His family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the ceremony at Pine Hill Memorial Park.

Mr. Bittle was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County. He was a member of Munford Church of Christ and retired as a supervisor from U.S. Pipe in Anniston after 34 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, U.G. and Janie Bittle; wife, Daisy S. Bittle; son, Russell Bittle; great-grandchild, Destinee Darling, and sisters, Dean Elder and Dot Hann.

Mr. Bittle is survived by his daughter, Ernestine B. (Paul) Smith; son, Gerald W. (Joy) Bittle; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Matthew Bittle, Jason Armbrester, Matthew Gaines, Rusty Stephens, Kevin Stephens, and Jerry Elder will serve as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers are John Murrel, Jeff Stephens, and Shane Clark.
