Wanda Irwin Hackett, 78 of Hoover and formally from Talladega, passed away April 14, 2023. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Pine Hill Memorial Park in Talladega. Todd Henderson will officiate the service.
Wanda was born December 1, 1944 to Allen G. and Pearlene Irwin. She retired from UAB Hospital after many years as a medical transcriptionist and Fellow Coordinator for Doctors. She enjoyed Spanish dancing and she danced and taught with the Birmingham Dance Company for many years.
Wanda is survived by her sister Debbie Brown (Jesse), nieces Jennifer Jacobs (Michael), Amanda Inman (Patrick) all of Birmingham, and Lisa Nicklous of Gainesville FL, brother-in-law Larry Wynn of Sylacauga and a host of great-nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents Allen G. and Pearlene Irwin, sister Fan Wynn.
Usrey Funeral of Talladega is directing services.
