Obituary of Doris Ann Champion

Doris Ann Champion, 56, of Talladega, AL passed away on Sunday, April 09, 2023. A graveside service will be held in her honor at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with James Coffman officiating. A memorial service in her honor will also be announced at a later date. Mrs. Champion was a native of Anniston, AL but lived in Talladega. She enjoyed knitting, photography, bird watching, and putting together puzzles. She had a deep love of animals, nature and wildlife. The outdoors was her happy place. Mrs. Champion devoted her entire life to her family. Though strong willed at times, she was an incredibly selfless and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Issac and Doris Henderson. Mrs. Champion is survived by her husband, Douglas Don Champion Sr.; sons, Douglas Don (Amanda) Champion Jr., Isaac Neal (Jimmie) Champion, and Cory Champion; grandchildren, Trinity Reeves, Amber Reeves, Lukas Lackey, Rylee Champion, Elijah Campbell, Piper Ann Champion, Memphis Isaac Neal Champion Jr., and Hunter Jordan; brother, Issac Henderson; sisters, Cathy Moxley and Candy Grennon, and a host of nieces and nephews.
