Obituary of Wesley Allen Waites

Wesley Allen Waites, 41, of Oxford, AL passed away at his home on Monday, March 20, 2023. A memorial service will be held in his honor at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. prior to the service. Mr. Waites enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also an avid University of Alabama Football fan and a member of the Church of the Highlands in Oxford. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Nellie Jo Goodwin, Linda and Ned Pate, Rayburn Taylor, and W.A. Waites. Mr. Waites is survived by his mother, Donna (Blake Taylor) Goodwin; father, Wayne (Greta) Waites; grandmother, Betty Waites; brothers, Anthony (Autumn) Taylor, Jonathan Taylor, Andrew (Ashley) Waites, and Gregory (Brandi) Waites; nephew, Konnor Taylor, and host of additional nieces and nephews. Jared Vise, Scott Champion, Duke Champion, Alan Taylor, Dustin Williams, and Logan Williams will serve as honorary pallbearers. Online condolences may be offered at www.usreyfuneralhome.com.
