Obituary of Johnnie Lou Williams

Funeral service for Johnnie Lou Williams, 84, of Talladega will be Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 2:00PM at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Her family will receive friends Monday, December 1,2014, from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega. Mrs. Williams passed away November 29, 2014 at Sylacauga Health and Rehab surrounded by her family. She was born in Clay County on August 6, 1930, but resided most of her life in Talladega. She is preceded in death by her husband, David Williams, daughter Glenda Waldrup, sons, Charles Williams and Dale Williams, granddaughter April Haney, grandson Daniel Williams, parents John and Lou Emma Phillips, and brothers, Fred Knight, Lonnie Wells Cassel, Sherman Phillips. She is survived by son, Cecil Williams, daughters, Darlene Haney (Danny), and Joni Williams (Jeff Taylor), brothers Turk Phillips (Barbara), Jerry Phillips (Joan), sister Sherry Atkinson, grandsons Scott Castleberry, Michael Williams, Shaun Williams, Clayton Williams, Clint Williams, Nick Haney (Cortney), AJ Fain III, granddaughters, Shannon Williams Blankenship, Lindsey Haney Wood (Brian), and several great grandchildren. Mrs. Williams enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and caring for animals. She loved hosting visitors, neighbors, and family in her home. Her greatest joy was visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Williams was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was loved and will be missed by all that knew her. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Haney and Jeff Taylor. Her family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Sylacauga Health and Rehab and the New Beacon Hospice of Sylacauga for their love and support.
