Obituary of Louie Artis Gaither

Mr. Louie Artis Gaither, 80, of Pell City, Alabama passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Talladega, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Gaither; great-grandson, Austen Gaither; sisters, Emma Gene Barnes and Lora Mae Gaither; and by his brothers, Clyde Gaither, Paul Gaither and W.A. Gaither. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Gaither; daughter, Robin May; son, Daniel Gaither (Amanda); sisters, Nettie Studdard (Ray) and Lillie Dobbs (Donald); brother, Talmadge Gaither (Sherry); sisters-in-law, Elaine Gaither and Edwina Gaither; grandchildren, Josh, Matt, Paul, Brooklyn, Ayanna, Isabella and Brianna; thirteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Talladega, Alabama. A funeral service honoring his life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Talladega with Rev. Clyde Pettus officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 7435 Howells Cove Road, Talladega, Alabama 35160.
