Mrs. Mary Jewell Clements Amell, 90, of Pell City, Alabama passed away on Friday, February 24, 2023.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Amell was preceded in death by her husband, Harold S. Amell; parents, Riley Clements and Emily Jane Clements; daughter, JoAnn Amell; grandson, Forest Amell; brothers, Tommy Clements and Ronnie Clements; and sisters, Elsie Brown, Leann Gafford and Rosemary Jones.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Nix (Hershel); sons, Harold Dean Amell and Tommy Riley Amell; grandchildren, Zack Amell (Nikki), Danyell Amell, Lawrence Colton Gann, David Burns, Chris Burns and Justin Amell; great-grandchildren, Colton James Gann, Alex Jace Gann, John Wesley Gann, Erica Hooten and Cory Burns; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lillie Mae Thomason; and brother, Robert Clements.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City.
A funeral service honoring her life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 27, 2023, at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City with Dr. Michael Barber officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Riverside.
