Obituary of William Jackie Herd

Funeral service for Mr. William Jackie Herd 82, of Munford, will be Monday, December 1, 2014, at 2:00 pm at Munford Church of Christ. Shane Clark, John Ross, Stacy Smith will officiate and burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery, Munford AL. His family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega will direct. Mr. Herd passed away November 28, 2014 at his residence in Munford, Alabama Mr. Herd was born in Quincy, Florida in 1932 and moved to Talladega in 1933 where he resided until 1953. He then moved to Munford and lived there for 61 years until his death. He was a member of Munford Church of Christ. He was an avid sportsman, loved deer, turkey hunting, fishing, and most of all his family, He is preceded in death by son, Johnnie Frank Herd, father, Marvin Herd, mother, Jensie Herd, brother, Marvin Kenneth Herd. Survivors include wife, Patsy Ruth Herd, daughter, Sharon (Michael) Watts, daughter, Lisa (Stanley) Blackburn, daughter, Stacy (Cholie) Smith, sister, Wren Owens Coefield, grandchildren, Krystal Watts Hall (Mark), Shana Scott (Tommy), Shea Gallman, and Tony Ferguson (Victoria), great-grandchildren, Shane Ferguson (Katelyn), Trevor Howel, Landon Scott, Riliegh Ferguson, Jaden Lathem, Mahaula Rainey, Kaylin Rainey, Henliee Rainey, Darien Hall and Ethan Hall Pallbearers will be Tommy Howle, Tommy Scott, Tony Ferguson, Mark Hall, Shane Ferguson, Trevor Howell, Landon Scott, and Tyler Rollins Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Bob Sanders, Rex Morrison, Jo Wayne Ingram, Jerry Lackey, Rickey Watts, Johnny Ponder, Donald Stephens, Ernest Lee Bittle, Leroy Gaines, Curtis Collette, Andy Collette, George J.
