Obituary of Joyce Kitchens Gardner

Joyce Kitchens Gardner, 89 of Talladega passed away February 17, 2023. Graveside service will be held at 11:00am Monday February 20,2023 at Alpine Baptist Church Cemetery. Joyce graduated from the University of Alabama, Summa Cum Laude. She was a member of St Peters Episcopal Church in Talladega, hosted “The Joyce Gardner T.V. Show” shown on local tv stations. Owner with her husband Cook Gardner of Gardner Cafeteria and she was retired from The Career Center of Talladega. She was preceded in death by Husband Cook Gardner, infant sister Patricia Irene Kitchens, sister Barbara Davies, brother Erastus Kitchens, brother Sherman Kitchens, sister Mary Sasser and sister Connie Ragsdale. Joyce is survived by her two brothers Bill Kitchens and Mickey Kitchens and his wife Susan, brother-in-law Ronnie Ragsdale, and a host of nieces and nephews. Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega will direct the services.
