Obituary of Pamette "Pam" Wilborn Dennis

Pamette (Pam) Dennis, 77 of Birmingham passed away February 11, 2023. Graveside services will be held 2:00pm Tuesday February 14,2023 at Pine Hill Memorial Park in Talladega. Blake Dempsey will officiate the graveside service. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date at Brookwood Baptist Church (TBA). Pam graduated from Auburn University with a degree in social work. She worked for the Birmingham Housing Authority Adult Day Care Program. She was a active member of Brookwood Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for four- and five-year-olds for many years. Pam enjoyed travel, gourmet cooking and was an avid reader. She will always be remembered for her steadfast love of the lord and devotion to her family. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Marie Burns Wilborn and John Edward (Barney) Wilborn. She is survived by her husband Larry Dennis, daughter Elizabeth Dennis, brother Barney Gene (Susan) Wilborn, sisters Kathy Ann Wilborn (Michael) Ivey, Marsha Wilborn (R.A. “Buzz”) Walsh, nieces Casey Marie Wilborn White, Leigh Ann Ivey (James) Gannon, Abby Kate Ivey (Christopher) Dodridge, nephews Barney Scott (Robyn) Wilborn, Bret Alexander Walsh, Dalton Reid (Leah) Walsh, and six great-nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Brookwood Baptist Church Mission Fund or The American Cancer Society. Usrey Funeral home in Talladega will direct the services.
