Obituary of Kevin Shelton Lane

Kevin S. Lane, age 49, was born to Dianne Bryant Lane and Kenneth B Lane Sr. of Savannah Georgia on October 5th, 1973. He passed on January 25th, 2023 after a brief illness. He will always be remembered for his kindhearted soul and his genuine friendly spirit. Kevin attended Armstrong State University in Savannah, GA. (Now Georgia Southern University), where he earned a degree in Psychology. After graduating he began a career in Human Resource Management /Recruitment, holding positions at Southern Research Institute, Protective Life Insurance Co and the University of Alabama in Birmingham. An avid sports fan, Kevin was known among his friends as the greatest Georgia Bulldog fan that existed. Go Dawgs! He was a fan of premier league soccer pulling for his favorite team, Arsenal! Kevin also loved playing golf, spending time on Logan Martin Lake, visiting friends on Smith Lake and relaxing with his beloved partner Joe Allinder at their home on the gulf coast of Alabama at Orange Beach. A devoted spiritual man, Kevin Loved his church Family at St. Peters Episcopal Church in Talladega. Kevin was preceded in death by his father Kenneth B Lane Sr. In addition to Joe, Kevin is survived by a family that he cherished deeply; Mother Dianne Bryant Lane, sister Kim Busse (Richard), brother Ken Lane Jr. (Jamie), niece Bridgette Busse (Jeff), nephews Tyler, Evan, Parker, Dylan and Carson Lane, and a great niece, Alice Holder. A memorial service / life celebration will be held at St. Peters Episcopal Church in Talladega Alabama on Friday February 17th at 10:30 am. (208 East North Street Talladega Alabama). A memorial in honor of Kevin may be made to Pell City Animal Shelter (1071 Airport Rd Pell City Al. 35128).
