Dottie Stewart Braswell, 75, of Talladega, AL passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A graveside ceremony will be held in her honor at Pine Hill Memorial Park on Friday, February, 03, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. with Bro. Kory Burel officiating.
Born, February 22, 1947, Dottie lived a beautiful, dignified life. Dottie graduated from Talladega High School and then went on to achieve her associate degree. Dottie pursued a professional career at R.L. Young Elementary School where she was completely adored for many years. A very spiritual woman of exquisite taste, she provided comfort and solace while asking for little in return. She was a loving mother, aunt, grandparent, friend, and wife.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, William Ernest and Hazel Chappell Stewart, sister, Mary Hazel “Teedom” Stewart Cox (Buddy) and brother, Johnny Stewart.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, James Braswell; children, Tami Liner (Joey),
Brandon Braswell (Maranda), and Laci Braswell; grandson, Landry Liner (Mary); great-grandson,
Clayton Liner; brother, Franky Stewart (Carolyn), and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks for the great care provided by Southern Care New Beacon in Sylacauga.
