Mr. Jerry Edward Gallups, 89, of Ragland, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023.
Mr. Gallups was a longtime employee of the City of Pell City from which he retired. He loved to fish, loved to talk and never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Eloise Gallups; son, Edward Lamar Gallups; and grandson, Jeremy Edward Gallups.
He is survived by his daughters, Margaret Crowder (Darrell), Carolyn Rich (Kenneth), Shirley Salter Bright, and Doris Salter Williams; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City.
The funeral service will be officiated by Bro. Sam Walker and Bro. Butch Davis at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 6, 2023. Burial will follow the funeral service at Eastaboga Baptist Cemetery.
