Obituary of George Thomas Roy

Rev. George Thomas Roy, 90, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2022. Rev. Roy was a native of Lafayette, Louisiana and a resident of Ashville, Alabama. He was a minister and evangelist for sixty-one years. He was a man of God and he walked by faith daily. He was loved by his family and by so many others. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." ~ II Timothy 4:7 He was preceded in death by his wife, Mercedes Faith Roy, and an infant son, George Roy. He is survived by his children, Dianna Roy Lacoste (Delma); Donna Roy Sons, Deborah Roy Lacoste (Jerry), and Drexel Roy (Sharon); fifteen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren, and fifteen great-great-grandchildren.
