Mrs. Bobbie Jo Douglas Parnell, 88, of Ragland, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.

Mrs. Parnell was a friend to many and demonstrated her love of others with acts of service such as cooking and opening her home to others as a hostess. She had a deep and abiding love for her family and Hardin's Chapel Bible Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buel Fay Parnell; parents, Charles and Georgia Douglas; sister, Inez Douglas; brother, Charles Douglas; and granddaughters, Autumn Parnell Campbell, Leah Daffron and Carla Daffron.

She is survived by her daughter, Denice Parnell Daffron (Rodney); son, Wayne Parnell (Thelma); sister, Betty Jackson; grandchildren, Casey Daffron (Christy) and Zachary Parnell (Brittney); great-grandchildren, Montana Parnell, Logan Phillips, Grant Daffron, Griffin Daffron, Rider Parnell, Michele Parnell, and Mary Parnell; great-great-grandchild, Xander Nowlin; sister-in-law, Christine Parnell; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Craig Little, Pastor Lowell Douglas, and Debbie Minton at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City. Interment will follow the funeral service at Hardin’s Chapel Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Casey Daffron, Zachary Parnell, Logan Phillips Matthew Jackson, and Dale Bellew.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City.
