Obituary of Victor Gordon Stringer, Sr.

Victor Gordon Stringer, Sr. of Talladega passed away at his home on December 2, 2022 at the age of 75. His funeral service will be 1:30 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with entombment to follow at Pine Hill Mausoleum. Cal McIntire and Josh Henderson will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday evening and Usrey Funeral Home. Vic was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. He served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of Vietnam. He retired from The Bureau of Prisons and later worked as a real estate agent. He was a member of the Whosoever Will Men’s Bible School Class and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Mr. Stringer is survived by his son, Victor G. Stringer, Jr, daughter, Lori Stringer, sister, Sharon Stringer, granddaughter, Destiny Turner and 2 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Stringer. Honorary pallbearers will be the Whosoever Will Men’s Bible Class. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Whosoever Will Foundation, P.O. Box 299, Talladega, AL 35161.
