I was stunned to learn of John's sudden passing last Monday, as I had just received an email from him earlier in the day. I will always remember John from Robed Choir back in the days of Dixon HS. We recently connected through the Dixon HS Class of 64-65 web page. The tide may erase our footprints, but only for a moment, for having walked here once, we remain ALWAYS. My deepest sympathy, Ingrid E. Albrecht Chicago

Selena, I never worked with John, but came to know him to some degree over the years through the Finnegan's. The loss of a loved one suddenly without warning adds shock to the grief. I send warm regards to you and your family. How blessed you have been to have had a wonderful relationship for as long as you did. Over time, I hope you can focus on that.

Selena, I am so very sorry for your loss. Dr. Tiffany was such a wonderful and caring person. I truly enjoyed working for and with him. I will always remember how he used to scare my daughter and she would call him "the big man" while she hid from him. She remembers him fondly, too. I hope that friends, family, and the serenity of your home and the lake provide you with support. I am thinking of you...

John Tiffany Family. We were all shocked to hear of John's passing. John was in out wedding party in 1966. I might add that John was responsible for writing "save me" on the bottom of my shoes at our wedding which drew quite a few snickers. We had lots of great times when he lived here in Dixon, IL as well as his return visit for our last class reunion. Our prayers go out to Selena and all of the Tiffany family. Dan & Anita Dunphy

John, I will always remember your joy and love for life. There were many enjoyable times @ CEASD conferences, especially with Rhoten nominating you for a position on the CEASD Board. The good times at Ocean City, the restaurant on the river in Oregon, Washington, DC and many other venues. Your love for Selena was so obvious and the two of you were a wonderful match. Most of all I will recall your dedication to serving children with varying needs. John you have given so much to life may you rest in peace!! Warren

I am so sad to hear of John's death, the world has lost a wonderful man! John has been a professional friend for years and most recently served on an accreditation committee with me at the Illinois School for the Deaf. Whenever he was around, people had fun- even in the midst of work! He was so kind and caring, and he loved his family deeply. I always appreciated his wisdom, honesty and his com-passion. Ironically, we were both superintendents and grew up in northern Illinois, he in Dixon and I in Mt. Morris, about 15 miles from Dixon. My prayers are with your family, John will be missed by many!
