Ralph Eugene “Eagle” Watson,78, of Talladega, AL passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. A funeral ceremony will be held in his honor at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega with Kevin Jones officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the service at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Watson was a long-time resident of Talladega. He was a former employee of Cheaha Construction where he helped build Talladega Super Speedway and Georgia Pacific. He retired after many years of running his own welding business at his home. Mr. Watson was known as “Eagle” by a lot of people.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Lilla Watson.
Mr. Watson is survived by his daughter, Tracey Buttrey (Bob), grandson, Michael White (Tabby), and many close friends that he considered family.
