Barbara Jean McBurnett, 87, of Lincoln, AL passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at Blue Eye Baptist Church with Jacky Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the service at Dry Valley Baptist Cemetery.
Mrs. McBurnett was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County. She was a member of Blue Eye Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving as a greeter. Mrs. McBurnett retired from Pell City Steak House after more than 50 years of employment.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Douglas McBurnett; son, Van Douglas McBurnett ; grandson, Corey McBurnett; great-grandson, Janson McBurnett; parents, Fred and Fannie Mae Thompson, and 7 brothers and sisters.
Mrs. McBurnett is survived by her daughter, Debra Jean Tyson (Mike); son, Mike McBurnett(Lynn); grandchildren, Chris McBurnett, Shay Green (Brian),and Casey Clark; 8 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brent Haynes, Donnie Thompson, Roger Thompson, Brandon Durham, Steve Hale, and Tim Champion.
