Obituary of Norman Eugene Parton

Norman Eugene Parton, 88, of Talladega was born on November 12, 1934 and passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family and went to his heavenly home on Thursday, November 17,2022. A graveside service will be held in his honor at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Stockdale Baptist Church. Danny Bannister, a nephew and friend of Mr. Parton’s, will officiate the service. The family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega from 11:30 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. prior to the service. Norman is survived by his daughter, Sherry Weaver(Mike), son, Greg Parton(Regina),son, Russ Parton(Miranda), daughter, Melissa Parton-Sumner(Terry), son, Mike Parton, son, Johnny Parton; grandsons, David Weaver(Jennifer) and Shane Parton; granddaughters, Misty Parton Smith and Ralee’ Bishop Bunt(Ryan); great grandsons, Corey Smith, Cody Smith, Aaron Weaver, and Christian Bunt; great-granddaughters, Amelia Grace Bunt and Evelyn Claire Bunt; sister, Hazel Lybrand; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Smith and Emmer Jean Parton, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Jonnie Sue Parton; son, James Christopher Parton; parents, John Hicks and Katie Carrie Parton; sisters, Luna Matthews and Bonnie Blankenship; brothers, Marvin “Alvis” Parton, Tommy Parton, Vernon Parton, Jim “Geo” Parton, S. A. “Littlen” Parton, Lecil Parton and Cecil Parton. Pallbearers will be Tony Parton, Randall Stewart, Ken Smith, Sonny Blankenship, Keith Haney, Eric Gilliam , and Steve Smith Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Knight, Gary Parton, and Larry Smith.
