Mae Frances Parker, 91, entered heaven on November 4, reuniting with, her husband of 73 years, Walter Jack Parker Sr.. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Robert O. Perkins and Lemma Clark Perkins Paige, brother Lesley O. Perkins and son-in-law W. Allen Harper. She is survived by her three children Sandra Gayle Harper (Allen Harper), Walter Jack Parker Jr., Tim Parker (Karen Parker), six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Frances dedicated her life to her family, being a fantastic and wonderful mother. She excelled at supporting her children throughout her life. Through difficulty and joy, passion and pain, Frances made it her life’s mission to improve the lives of others. She was an accomplished cook and used her talent for baking to share her love. She especially took pride in creating birthday and wedding cakes for family and friends. Frances owned and operated a day care center for numerous years. Each child she cared for was deeply loved and became a part of her family. Frances was a long time member of First Baptist Church, Talladega. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega AL. Interment will be held at 2:00 pm at Friendship Cemetery in Friendship AL. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 9:00 am until service time at Usrey Funeral Home. Usrey Funeral Home Talladega will Direct the services.
