Obituary of Connie Watts Patterson

Mrs. Connie Watts Patterson, 64, of Talladega passed away in Ashland, AL on Monday, October 17, 2022. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. with Jason Watkins and Donald Douthit officiating. Interment will follow directly after the service at Pine Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Mrs. Patterson was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega. She was a longtime employee of Citizens Baptist Medical Center and had recently become an employee at Clay County Hospital. She was Baptist by faith, and she loved her grandbabies very much. She was preceded in death by her parents, “Sleepy” and Icy Watts, sister, Deborah Watts Smith, and brother, Neal Watts. Mrs. Patterson is survived by her husband, Byron Patterson; son, Justin (Alaina) Patterson; daughter, Heather (Joseph) Stanford; grandchildren, Cooper Patterson, Greenleigh Stanford, Rorie Stanford, Eli Patterson, and Briggs Stanford, and a host of nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will be Jared Douthit, Mark Brown, Corey Wesson, Cody Wesson, Jeremy Stanford, and Kevin Perley. Honorary pallbearers will be all of Mrs. Patterson’s coworkers at Clay County Hospital and Citizens Baptist Medical Center.
