Mr. Frank “Skeet” Alverson, Sr., 82, of Ashville, Alabama passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 25, 2022.
He is preceded in death by his grandson, Hunter Alverson; parents, John and Irene Alverson; sisters, Mamie Lou Lares and Sally Jo Morrow; and brothers, J.T. Alverson, Billy Alverson and Lester Alverson.
He is survived by daughters, Cindy Webb, Debra Faust and Paula Hardy; sons, Frank “Butch” Alverson, Jr. (Lindy), and Jeff Alverson (Jo); three children raised as his own, Beth Mowery, Jennifer Grimes and John Wright; sister, Dorothy “Dot” McCullough; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Usrey Funeral Home – Pell City with Bro. Mike Allums officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at Box Cemetery in Ragland, Alabama.
