Steve Merritt Estes, 82 formally of Heflin before moving to Talladega in July 2021, passed away September 23, 2022. He is survived by his wife Martha Jane Finch Estes whom he married April 4, 1994, daughters Sharon Pirkle of Douglasville Ga., Wendy Stovall of Talladega, Destiny Estes of Heflin Al., Kimberly Williams of Alpine Al., sons Steve Estes Jr, of Oxford Al., Shawn Collier of Heflin Al., Shane Estes of Newman Ga., Alan Estes of Norfolk Va., sisters Annette Estes Thornley of Moncks Corner SC., Gale Estes Landers of Birmingham Al., brother David Estes of Lineville Al., 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert F. and Mary Helen Neighbors Estes, sister Rosa Nell Estes Paine and brother Robert (Bobby)Eugene Estes. Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega assisting family.
