Eleanor grew up in Steele, Alabama before making her permanent residence with her husband in Ragland, Alabama. She was a devoted wife and constant guide to her children always providing support and love to her family. She taught her children to trust in the Lord and stay in church. She was truly a Psalm 31 woman. At a very young age, Eleanor studied and became a skilled pianist performing in many recitals. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Ragland where she served as the pianist for over three decades. She served as a Sunday school teacher and friend to so many.
