Mr. Jeffrey Alan Barnes, Sr., 69, of Lincoln peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
Mr. Barnes was the owner of Food Barn in Ragland, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his father, W.C. Barnes; mother, Ann Durrette; step father, EB Durrette; brother, Mike Bill Barnes; brother-in-law, Mike Hollis; and nephew, Michael Hollis; uncle A.C. Barnes; Steve Thornton; Chester Long; Wayne Mowery.
Mr. Barnes is survived by his wife and partner of twenty-three years, Haley Barnes; daughter, Regina Calhoun (Brandon); son, Jeffrey Barnes, Jr.; grandchildren, Michelle Calhoun and Jeffrey Barnes III; mother of his grandson, Christa Griffith; sister, Susan Hollis; niece, Miranda; nephew, Matthew Hollis (Jenny); great-niece and great-nephews, Jaylon, Cameron and Everlee, Ace, and Fin; Lee Barnes (Simone), Ford; Laura Barnes (Jeremy) Margo; uncles, Max Barnes (Wanda) Kelly and Rusty, Wayne Emerson (Margie) and cousin Danny Harris (Sandra)Jill Harris, Greg Harris, and Rachel Nelson; sister Sharon (Zane) DeShazo, Ashley, Katie; sister, Sara Rogers (Chris) Benjamin; Pamela Overton; Jim (Lis)Overton; Amanda (Bill) Clark, Zach, April; Audrey (Jim) Henderson; the remaining musketeer group, Mike Capps, Kerry Graves, Randy Garner, Dennis Craig, and Roger Shirley; and all of the wonderful, loyal FOOD BARN customers who made his dream possible.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Usrey Funeral Home - Pell City with Bro. Jack Washington of Restoration Church officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until the time of service on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Usrey Funeral Home - Pell City.
In lieu of flowers, Jeff would want you to visit the Food Barn and "take your time shopping and hurry back!" (One of many Jeff-isms)
