Floyd Dale Jacob, 87, of Carrollton, GA passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022. A graveside ceremony will be held in his honor at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Gerald Taylor will officiate the service.
Mr. Jacobs was born in Talladega, AL on December 20, 1934 to Jesse Braxton and Bonnie Lucille Powers Jacobs. He retired from Talladega Machinery and Supply in December of 2001 after 41 years of service. He and his family attended Southside Baptist Church where he was a deacon, taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and occasionally filled in as the choir director. In his retirement years, he enjoyed growing trees and shrubs and playing golf.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Joyce Yates Jacobs, daughter, Renee (Willie) Weeks, son, Allen Jacobs, brother, Glen (Marie) Jacobs, and sister, Joy (Terry) Yates, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to the charity of your choice.
