Obituary of Pinkney Marshall Hartley, Jr.

Mr. Pinkney Marshall Hartley, Jr., 68, of Pell City passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.
Mr. Hartley dedicated more than three decades to teaching and coaching in the St. Clair County
School system and is a member of the St. Clair County Sports Hall of Fame.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pinkney Marshall Hartley, Sr. and Pluma Jay Hartley.
Mr. Hartley is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Nancy Hartley; daughter, Melissa Jane
Hartley Mims (Hunter); sons, Pinkney Marshall Hartley III and Patrick Jay Hartley (April); sister,
Martha Jane Hartley Clements (Robert); grandchildren, Libby Jay Hartley, Meredith Jane Mims, and
Marshall Wyatt Hartley.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Usrey Funeral Home -
Pell City with Coach Pete Rich officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Joey Reid, Marshall Hartley,
Patrick Hartley, Brad Kelly, Devon Bell, Hunter Mims, and Wyatt Hartley.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 28, 2022, from 12:30 pm until
2:00 pm.
Interment will follow the funeral service at St. Clair Memorial Gardens.
