Obituary of Bonnie Thomas Quillen

Bonnie Thomas Quillen, 90, of Piedmont, AL passed away in Gadsden on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. A funeral ceremony will be held in her honor at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Van Lockridge officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow directly after the service at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Quillen was a native of Ottumwa, Iowa. She lived most of her life in Talladega, AL before relocating to Clarksville, TX, and she spent the last five years of her life in Piedmont, AL. Mrs. Quillen retired from Woolworth Department Store. She was a former member of Northside Baptist Church and Talladega Community Chorus. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Earl E. “Sarge” Thomas and Harold “Howds” Quillen, and son, Tommy Thomas. Mrs. Quillen is survived by her sons, Russell (Patricia) Thomas, Gary (Beth) Thomas, Doug (Sandra) Thomas, Jack Thomas, and Greg (Christy) Quillen, daughter, Julie (Terry) Banes, 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and a host nieces and nephews.
