Clarence Big Head Bishop, 78 of Talladega, died November 1, 2014. Funeral services will be November 3, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Usrey Funeral Home with Donnie Thompson and Cliff Goodwin officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. November 2, 2014 at Usrey Funeral Home. He is preceded in death by his parents, John M. and Alvie Keahey Bishop; sisters, Katherine Gravette, Louise Forsythe, Sue Patterson and Glenda Steely; brothers, Kelton, Johnny and Joe Bishop; son, John C Bishop. Clarence is survived by his wife, JoAnne; brother, Scotty Bishop (Derenda); children, Beverly Hendrick, Nell Sinclair (Randy) Herbie Bishop (Lisa), Sheryl Bishop (Cheri), Anita Bishop; and step-daughter, Dianne Battles (Gary). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Mark Goodson, Tim Hendrick, Kyle Hendrick (Kimberly), Jennifer Tubbs (Josh), Christina Goodwin, Matthew Bishop, Emily Brown, Malya Pitts, Ralee Bishop, Brandon Bishop (Ruth), and Britney Flake (Kyle) and 9 great-grandchildren: Andrew and Dalton Pitts, Kai Tubbs, Kylie Grace and Kason Hendrick, Sisily, Daphne, and Ayla Bishop, Amelia Grace Bunt and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Mark Goodson, Tim Hendrick, Kyle Hendrick, Matthew Bishop, Josh Tubbs and Ryan Bunt.
Honorary pallbearers are: Jeff Cooper, Curt Canada, Ricky Peters, Joey Peters, Tom Hayden, Perry Patterson, Gary Battles, Doug Crews, Ronnie Bishop, Terry Tomlin, Jeff Camp, Jake Deese, Earl Smith, Jack Welcher and Talladega County Road Department.
A life-long resident of Talladega, Big Head was employed by Talladega County Road Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. He lived a happy fulfilling life and was loved by many. He will be missed by all those who ever come in contact with him.
