Obituary of Veula G. Nunn Horn

Veula G. Nunn Horn, age 88, of Talladega passed away on Friday, December 17, 2010. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 20, 2010, at 11:00AM, at Usrey Brown-Service Chapel Talladega with interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 4:00 until 6:00. She was born and raised in Clay County, one of ten children in a family which emphasized a deep faith in God and strong love of family. She particularly enjoyed working in her flower gardens and in her kitchen. She was a charter member of Southside Baptist Church and leaves a rich legacy for her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Sidney L. Horn and G.C. Nunn; numerous brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Carpenter, Athens, AL, Nancy Kirk(Lowell), Madisonville, TN; sons, Randy Horn(Sue), Talladega, Lewey Horn(Gayle), Linden, AL; 11 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
