James Leonard Gilliland of Sylacauga passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022, at the age of 64. A funeral service will be held in his honor at 1:00 pm, Friday, August 5, 2022, at Usrey Funeral Home in Talladega with Terry Chappell officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Munford. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Gilliland was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County. He formerly worked at Wehadkee Yarn Mills.
Mr. Gilliland is survived by his daughters, Christy Hylton (Randy), Sabrina Wolf (Chris), Sherri Gilliland (Frankie), son, Timmy Gilliland, sisters, Dorothy Chappell (Terry), Jessie Irvin, brother, Jerry Gilliland (Lou Ann), 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his brothers, Jimmy Gilliland, Gene Gilliland, and sister, Sue Price.
Pallbearers will be Chris Wolf, Frankie Harbin, Timmy Gilliland, Johnathan Wixon, Miles Wixon, and Jordan Wolf.

Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega is directing services.
