Darlene Marie Foster, 79, of Munford, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, June 18th, 2022 after a short and sudden illness. She was born and raised in Protivin, Iowa. Darlene graduated from New Hampton High School. Darlene married Bobby K. Foster on March 30th , 1963. She worked at GTE and retired from Weyerhaeuser. She raised her three children Cherie, Steve, and Mark in Belvidere, Illinois. Upon Darlene’s retirement, she moved to Munford, Alabama where she and her husband reacquainted with family and friends. As a hobby, Darlene became a talented artist who was known for her Alabama football player action paintings and Christmas cards. Darlene loved her children, grandchildren, and hosting her family for holidays and special occasions. Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Foster, her parents, Grant and Edith Pacovsky, and her brothers, Frankie, and Grant Pacovsky. She is survived by her brother, Melvin Pacovsky and her children Cherie (Mark) Fidder, Steve Foster, and Mark(Heather) Foster, and grandchildren, Jason Fidder, Joshua Foster, Julia Foster, and Jackson Gray Foster. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 23rd at 3:00 pm at Munford Church of Christ in Munford, Alabama. A graveside burial will be held Saturday, August 20th at Bohemian National Cemetery near Protivin, Iowa. Online condolences may be offered at www.usreyfuneralhome.com. Usrey Funeral Home of Talladega is assisting the family.
