Thelma Brown Lewis, 90 of Talladega passed away Saturday June 18, 2022. Graveside services will be held at 11:30am Wednesday June 22, 2022, at Pine Hill Memorial Park. Brother Rod Siggers will officiate the service. Her family will receive friends at Usrey Funeral home in Talladega from 10:00am-11:00am on Wednesday June 22,2022.
Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her son Jackie Lewis and foster son Eugene Hubbard, six sisters and one brother. She was retired from Palm Beach after 37 years. Through her oldest son having attended the Alabama School for the Blind led her to become a foster mother to children at the Hellen Keller School and Den Mother at the Presbyterian Home.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her son John Lewis (Treasa), daughter Debbie Blackburn (Johnny), grandchildren Shawna Vance (Bryan), Christopher Blackburn, Todd Cook (Laura), great-grandchildren Payton and Shelby Vance, Cardyn and Kendall Cook, brother John Brown, host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity. Usrey funeral Home in Talladega will direct service.
