Martha Jean Smith of Talladega passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at the age of 86. A private graveside service will be held in her honor. The family will receive friends at Mrs. Smith’s residence, 174 Stemley Bridge Road, Talladega, AL 35160, from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Monday, June 6, 2022.
Mrs. Smith was a native and lifelong resident of Talladega County. She also retired from Wehadkee Yarn Mills.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Smith and son, Ernie Haynes.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her sons, Jeff Haynes, Paul Haynes, and Joel Haynes; stepson, James Smith; grandchildren, Paula Jones, Robin Lively, Damon Haynes, Mandi Gilbert, Tobie Haynes, Crimson Haynes, Kacye Haynes, Stevie Hughes, and Suzanne Haynes; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann Burgess, Lucille Matson, and Jeanette Kembrel and brothers, Bobby Greene, Kenny Greene, Mike Greene, Steve Green, and Charles Greene.
The family kindly asks that no flowers be sent in honor of Mrs. Smith at this time.
